Maker of the Month: keeley Traae

We're excited to introduce our newest Maker of the Month—give a warm welcome to Keeley Traae! Keeley embarked on her entrepreneurial journey during the 2020 lockdown. With a rich 25-year background in ceramics, she ventured to create her own line of products, embracing 3D printing technology and eco-friendly biodegradable filaments.

Keeley's designs are a nod to the timeless appeal of mid-century aesthetics, featuring classic contours and geometric patterns. Each piece showcases distinctive ribbed, faceted, and fluted forms, along with unique imprints left by the 3D printing process. Her collection stands out with its use of bold, seasonal colour palettes inspired by current interior design and fashion trends. Keeley's miniature vases are digital masterpieces that brighten any space with a burst of colour.

Here at Blue Magpie, we're passionate about the innovation within new craft forms. Operating from her Staffordshire studio, Keeley meticulously sketches her concepts, transforms them into digital 3D models, and brings them to life with her 3D printer, all while maintaining a commitment to sustainability by using materials derived from completely renewable and natural sources. Keeley's creations are truly distinctive, characterized by their vividly tactile shapes and ever-evolving colour schemes. Mindful of the environment, she ensures that all her 3D printed materials are commercially compostable and that every element of her packaging is recyclable.

Keeley has generously donated one of her exquisite mini vases in a striking Peacock blue as this month's social media competition prize.
